Chairman Zou Weimin meets with the H.E.Ambassador to China Mr. German in the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea, Beijing

On the morning of November 17th, Chairman Zou Weimin met with the Ambassador H.E Mr. German Ekua Sima Abaga in the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea, Beijing. Both Parties had a friendly exchange regarding numerous topics including the current economic situation, infrastructure development, resources exploration, and many other project fields’ needs absorbing capitals in Equatorial Guinea. This is the second time for both parties to meet after the official meeting on July 2016.


Chairman Zou expressed his gratitude to H.E Ambassador for making the time to meet with our team and introduced MCC Overseas’ project development experience for the past one and a half year. He said, the successful conclusion for the 19th CPC National Congress has drawn a clear blueprint for China’s development for a certain period of time, and it has also gave a clear direction of project developments and cooperation between Chinese enterprises and African countries. China will further reinforce the reform and opening up and continue to deepen the “the Belt and Road Initiative” strategy. As a State-Owned Enterprise in China, MCC Overseas will continue closely follow the state deployment strategies and actively practice the state policies, especially the “the Belt and Road Initiative” strategy. For the next step, MCC Overseas will make efforts to open and deepen multi-level cooperation with Equatorial Guinea in many field, and further promote the friendship between two countries. In addition, Both Parties had a friendly exchange regarding numerous topics including their views on Equatorial Guineas’ current economic situation, infrastructure development, steel mills, industrialization, fishery, tourism, and mineral resources sectors in the wake of the financial crisis.


H.E. Ambassador Mr. German thanked Chairman Zou for his visit and positively confirmed that Equatorial Guinea and China are partners sharing the mutual interests and the two countries should continue to maintain the friendly and cooperative relation to support each other. He hoped that MCC Overseas could establish in-depth communication and cooperation with local companies in multi-level fields including energy development, fishery and tourism sectors; he would pay close attention to and provide necessary supports for two sides’ multi-level cooperation. In addition, both parties also discussed various topics including overall economic environment in African countries, infrastructure development project, the use of land for affordable housing, Equatorial Guinea's state-owned enterprises base in China and visa issue etc.


Also in attendance were Equatorial Guinea Embassy Third Secretary Mr. Tiberio Edu Okenave Abegue, MCC Overseas Vice Chief Engineer Mr. Yu Zhongliang and P.R Director Ms. Janice Xu.
